Cultural Hotspots

Salzburg, the City of Mozart, offers a variety of opportunities to get to know the musical legacy of the Genius Loci. But where are these Mozart Cultural Hotspots hiding?
A smartphone app sends you on a journey of discovery into the city of Salzburg and acts as a link between the music-historical location and Mozart’s music. An interactive map enables musical experiences with ‘all the senses’. The app also invites to be creative and let others participate in what has been experienced: An additional upload function offers users to make very personal hotspots visible to others and, in the spirit of Citizen Science, the virtual map to grow dynamically. In this way, evidence of the past and the present can merge in a variety of ways.
