VR MozART takes the audience on a journey through space and time. Using virtual reality headsets, we embark on a journey into W. A. Mozart’s emotional world and the impact his music has on all of us. The English title VR MozART refers to the cultural recognition Mozart’s work experiences in Europe and on a worldwide scale. We all have our very own relationship to Mozart, and the 360 ° film enables us to experience the intensive impressions of Mozart’s music in our own, very personal way. We chose Hangar-7 as the key location for the aria “Geme la tortorella” (K 196), as it allows the transformation of Mozart’s music from classical Salzburg into the 21st century. Hangar-7, an iconic site of movement and encounter, offers the viewer a visual approach to reinterpret Mozart’s music through this audio-visual contrast.
